In many areas, the users‘ safety requirements are very high - e.g. at shipyards, refi neries, pipelines, in mines or power plants. Our eight new angle grinders with their Protect safety switch are especially suitable for use there.
The deadman function switches the tool off when the user releases the switch. This greatly increases the user‘s safety if he ever loses control of the tool. To make sure that this does not happen if the wheel catches, we used the Metabo S-automatic safety clutch: it effectively protects the user from kickback.
During work, the Metabo VibraTech (MVT-) handle and autobalancer will dramatically reduce vibrations. The twist-proof guard can be adjusted and taken off within seconds; the tool is even easier to handle. These and many other highlights make our angle grinders safer and better than ever.
Double Protection during Cutting
In cutting applications, there is a special danger of the wheel catching. For this, the Metabo S-automatic safety clutch and the Protect safety switch are combined for double protection of the user. The Protect safety switch has a deadman function: The angle grinder is switched off when the user releases the switch.

Diverse Uses
Grinding welded seams, rough grinding or cutting profi les, pipes and solid materials: the Protect angle grinders always perform their jobs expertly. During work, the Marathon motor protects the device from the abrasive dust that is a by-product when grinding.

The special coil protection of epoxy resin powder-coating on the fi eld coil and the Metabo coil-protec-tion screen, make the motor nearly impervious to abrasive dust. The large fan ensures ideal cooling for maximum effi ciency and an increased torque.
